Entry…In Progress

I’d been wanting to replace the little dresser I have in the entry for a while…

It just wasn’t working for me anymore.  I figured this would be a great spot for my new bar cart...

After putting it in the entry I felt it was a little awkwardly tall.  So I removed the casters.  Then a little Brasso and Windex and she’s all sparkly!

042Ignore the hideous floor…that’s a whole other post

Now for styling.  Jenny’s post couldn’t have come at a better time.  This is definitely ONE of my weak spots.  If it has shelves or a ledge I just don’t know what to do with it.   For this, I just grabbed things that haven’t really found a home anywhere else.

I do want to incorporate books for height, but sadly I don’t really have any to spare from my bookshelf.  The books we do have I don’t necessarily want to display so I’m going to cover them in decorative papers to add some color...

i really like this bar bart here - perfect scale for the space! Your ceramics are charming, and the books will be great. Maybe a stack covered boxes on the bottom shelf to ground the arrangement a bit?

I love the style of your bar cart. It looks great where you placed it. I hate decorating things with shelves. I either put too much or not enough. You did a good job. I'm your newest follower.
