The Loo…

My guest bathroom is not hideous, but it’s not really my style. The wallpaper is a sage green toile. Obviously, toile is a classic timeless pattern so that’s not really the bad part of the bathroom…it’s the tile!!

It is 70’s green, not the fun kelly green but not a pea green. I actually don’t know what you’d call it…

See, not terribly ugly…definitely livable, but I’m still ready for a change. The problem? I can’t figure out what I want to do on the walls. I can’t seem to wrap my head around what will go with that damn tile!!

I do love this look…

Or a pattern (the silver floral) like this, but I’m worried it’s too much like my half bath

I’m stumped so any suggestions on colors or patterns are welcome…must coordinate with the green tile, unfortunately we are not renovating…

we had a very ugly pinky beige tile in our last house i had to work with.... i went with a charcoal gray and it worked nicely as a dark neutral. here is the link...

I would like that wallpaper in the bathroom (or a wallpaper very much like it). That tile is a tricky one!

You know, you can always paint the tile with paint for boats. Yep you heard me. It would simplify a lot of things. If the tile is in good condition, it might be a viable option, and then you can do whatever you want with the walls. Good luck!

You can also have the tile reglazed. Its not as cheap as painting it yourself with boat paint, but its professionally done, its much cheaper than renovating, and you can pick a large array of colors (or just go with plain white.)
